Why “Girasoles de Esperanza”? Sunflowers turn toward the light, and when darkness comes, they lean on one another to regain strength. This reminds us that even in the darkest moments, there is always someone willing to help. That belief is at the heart of our mission.
OUR STORY
For many years, we have dedicated ourselves to helping people in need. In 2020, during the pandemic, we decided to give our work a name and officially establish our foundation, thanks to the support of many generous people both inside and outside Venezuela.
Girasoles de Esperanza was founded by the youngest daughter of the Palencia Evies family, who was only 19 years old at the time. Raised with strong values of compassion and service, she dreamed of turning kindness into action. With the support of her mother and close friends, that dream grew into a foundation dedicated to bringing light to those who need it most.
